Positano
Enjoy your free time (on your own) in Positano: visit this charming village or swim in the crystal clear Mediterranean sea.
Positano is a colourful, almost vertical town, clinging to the hillside, facing Capri and the sparkling coloured Mediterranean sea.
This Moorish-style village was populated by the ancient Romans as confirmed by the recent excavation of a Roman residential villa.
Over time, the town has attracted artists, celebrities and writers and has kept its charm, with colourful winding alleyways filled with welcoming cafés, patisseries, trattorias serving local cuisine, sun-kissed terraces, and tiny artisan shops selling Positano fashion, handmade sandals, ceramics and limoncello.
